Dr. Hodgkins is very fortunate to have a team of experienced, caring staff members, with an average of 14 years in orthodontics and an average of 9 years in his practice. Chosen for their exceptional skill and high professional standards, they share his commitment to excellence in orthodontics and providing the gentlest care possible. All of our chairside assistants are Registered. They receive ongoing training in advanced orthodontic techniques and patient care as well as sterilization, x-ray certification, CPR, and OSHA. Additionally, we have bilingual employees on both the front desk and chairside.

| Amanda Amanda joined our practice upon completing her training at San Antonio College of Medical & Dental Assistants in 2005. In addition to her regular duties as an orthodontic assistant, Amanda's other responsibilities include making trutains and retainers, assisting with Invisalign cases and is in charge of our sterilization monitoring and testing. When considering this career, she was told if she liked arts and crafts she would like this job and she has found it to be true. In her spare time she is currently learning to crochet and also enjoys cooking and camping. |

| Bea Bea started in orthodontics with our office in 2002. If you are starting as a new patient, more than likely, Bea will be taking your records. She is fluent in both English and Spanish. In addition to taking the x-rays, photos and impressions, she does in-house trutains and prepares the impressions for retainers. Being our "staff photographer" she also takes photos of all our fun events! She's a very busy person, but Bea will tell you that's the very thing she loves about her job…the fast pace at which we work. A native Texan who is married with 3 daughters and 1 granddaughter, her outside interests are sewing, photography (surprise!), and making a "mean" hot sauce. Oh, and she loves "da boys" (the Dallas Cowboys, that is)! |

| Deanna Deanna came to us in 2007 as our second Treatment Coordinator after 25 years in dentistry with 10 years in orthodontics. A graduate of UT Austin with a degree in Economics, she also completed dental assisting school and worked as an assistant before becoming a treatment coordinator. She likes that position because she enjoys explaining things to the kids. If asked, she will tell you she is excited to be working for Dr. Hodgkins because of his reputation and how he treats his patients. Deanna is married with 2 children and 2 grandchildren. A native of San Antonio, she enjoys going there for Alamo City events like the Spurs games and Fiesta. She also enjoys kayaking, tubing, gardening, and loves to go zip lining! |

| Deborah A former management analyst and financial control manager, Dr. Hodgkin's wife, Deborah, assists him with the management and day-to-day operation of the practice as well as the accounting and fiscal management. Married since 1981, they have one grown son and a 13-year-old golden retriever. In Deborah's spare time she loves travel, reading and collecting recipes that she really does plan on preparing some day (honest)! |

| Frank Frank recently joined our practice in 2007 after 6 years in the general dental field in administration. He currently serves as a Manager in Insurance and Patient Accounts, along with having Human Resources responsibilities. Although having been with us only a little over a year now, Frank will tell you he enjoys the people he works with and Dr. Hodgkins' sense of humor. A native of Palm Springs, California, he has lived in Austin since 2001. In his spare time, he enjoys music, reading, and welding. In addition, he plays jazz sax and is a big fan (student) of Architecture. |

| Janie Janie studied at the Career Advancement Center for dental assisting and has been an assistant since 1996. We are happy that she joined our practice in 1999. In addition to chairside assisting she is in charge of ordering our dental supplies and serves as our OSHA Officer. Although Janie was born in Washington State, she has been in Texas for the past 26 years and in Austin for the past 13 years. She enjoys music, dancing, movies, and babysitting (both the two and four-legged variety!) Janie is bilingual in both English and Spanish. Interestingly, she is a descendant of both the American Kikapo and Aztec Indians and has the goal to some day reconnect with her Indian relatives. |

| Jennifer Jennifer worked in administration in general dentistry for 8 years before deciding to make a change to orthodontics. She joined our team in 2006 and has worked at both the front desk and in the business office since that time. In addition to her front desk duties, Jennifer is also in charge of the ordering of our office supplies, and is always willing to take on other jobs that arise around the office. She is bilingual in both English and Spanish. She says she likes the fact that the staff is easy to get along with. Married with 2 children, she loves doing family activities. In her spare time she also likes to run and she says skydiving is definitely on her "bucket list"! |

| Jill Jill started in the dental field in 1986 and changed to orthodontics in 1987, where she has done everything from front desk to Treatment Coordinator, insurance, lab and assisting. Since joining our practice in 2005, Jill works primarily as an orthodontic assistant. Having had her own lab for study models in the past, she does study models for our office, as well. Jill has 2 children, one grown and one teenager. When she's not having fun on her new orange Vespa (look for it in the parking lot!), she enjoys being active in community service and fundraisers, serving on the ACC advisory committee and being a chairperson in her neighborhood association. |

| Kathy As our appointment coordinator since 1990, Kathy has one of the most demanding jobs in our office. Luckily for us, she is great at multitasking. She loves her job because she feels she really gets to know the patients and parents and, unlike general dentistry where you might see a patient once or twice a year, it's an ongoing thing with orthodontics. Prior to joining our team, Kathy was an orthodontic assistant for 17 years, so she understands the office from both sides. Married with 2 grown children, she enjoys arts, crafts, sewing, and reading. She also is an excellent cook (as we can all attest)! |

| Mindy After receiving her Dental Assistant Certification through Texas State, Mindy started her career with a pediatrict dentist and working with St. David’s Theo Program. For 1 ½ years she did free dental assisting on children at Title One Schools as well as on local Austin Musicians, which she found to be a very rewarding experience. After subsequently working in General and Cosmetic Dentistry, we are happy that Mindy has joined our staff. Outside the office Mindy enjoys watching her son’s sporting events, as well as cooking, outdoor activities, art, architecture and traveling. Having lived in Japan, she would love to revisit relatives in Okinawa and explore more about her culture. |

| Pam Originally from Oregan, Pam moved here in 1983 and has been an orthodontic assistant in our practice since 2004. Prior to coming here, she also worked at the front desk. When she is not assisting chairside, she fabricates some of our wire appliances and often takes records. Her favorite part of the job is working with the kids and watching their smiles change. She is the mother of two grown children and in her spare time, she loves all sports, from football to racing. In fact, Pam plays golf as often as she can. |

| Susie Susie began her career in orthodontics in 1983 and has been with Dr. Hodgkins since 1991. In addition to dental assisting she has worked in many other capacities in our office, including ordering, front desk, lab and treatment coordinator. She loves visiting with the patients and parents and being able to see "2nd generations" in the practice. A native Austinite, Susie is married with 3 children, 8 grandchildren and an only dog. Her pastime enjoyments include reading, dancing, spending time with her family, and riding Harley's for the past 43 years with her husband. Her dog, Roscoe, even has his own carry pouch and motorcycle glasses so he can enjoy the open road too! |

| Tina Although Tina has worked as both an orthodontic assistant and appointment scheduler at the front desk since joining our practice in 1991, the majority of her career has been as a chairside assistant. If you are a candidate for Invisalign, you will more than likely be seeing Tina, who coordinates those patients for Dr. Hodgkins. Tina will tell you the two best things about working here are that the office is like a family and orthodontics are always changing. A native of Bastrop, Tina is married with 2 children. In addition to her family, her interests include cooking and anything outdoors, from gardening to yard work. Her most secret desire, though, is to be a contestant on Survivor! |

| Tracey After being a former patient of this practice, Tracey joined our team in 1996 and has been a new patient/treatment coordinator ever since. It's a perfect fit for her since she loves meeting and talking with different people. Tracey is married with two children. Being a native Texan, she enjoys outdoor activities such as camping and going to the lake. She also loves traveling and shopping. |

| Tracy With the exception of one or two "sabbaticals" over the years, Tracy has been with the practice since 1988. Having worked in most positions in the office over the years, from administrative to chairside assisting, she has gained extensive knowledge of the inner workings of an orthodontic practice. Putting that knowledge to work, Tracy has been serving as the Office Manager since 2007 and is also heavily involved in insurance, patient accounts, and marketing. A native Texan, Tracy is married with one child. In addition to enjoying outside activities from boating to snow skiing, she stays very active with family gatherings and activities, as well as her son's sporting events. |
